Development Policy Institute (DPI)

Development Policy Institute (DPI) - is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation that brings together highly experienced experts in various fields of legislation, state and municipal administration reform, development of local self-government (LSG), communities and mass communications. DPI strives to aid local communities and self-governments in the exercise of human rights and the opportunity to live with dignity. DPI specialises on the political, administrative and financial independence of local self-government; national and local laws; state and municipal finance management; and local economic development.

In the framework of IRDP Development of local economic development plans in Toktogul and Toguz-Torous rayons: Zhany-Zhol AA, Torken AA, Kargalyk (Kazarman) AA, Toguz-Toro AA

Project goals: Ensure capacity building of local authorities, civil society and the private sector to establish a productive dialogue between them, that would encourage the development of local plans for economic development (LED) with prioritization and implementation of pilot projects aimed at improving the business environment, increasing revenue opportunities, and involving vulnerable groups.
